| Kevin
M. Markham, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr.
Markham graduated from Wayne State University Medical
School in 1995. After earning his Medical Degree, he
completed a six-year residency in General Surgery at
William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, finishing
residency as the Chief Surgical Resident in 2001.
Dr. Markham began practice with Petoskey Surgeons,
P.C., as an attending surgeon at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital
in July 2001. He is board certified and is a diplomate
of the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Markham is a member of:
- Society of American Gastrointestinal Surgeons
- Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract
- Sustaining member of Phi Beta Kappa
- Fellow, American College of Surgeons
He serves on several committees at Northern Michigan
Regional Hospital, including:
- Section Chair, General and Vascular Surgery
- Cancer Committee, Chairman
- Diabetes Advisory Committee
- Physician Action Council
Dr. Markham is also the hospital’s Surgeon Champion in the National Surgical Quality Improvement
Program and is also the preceptor for CMU Physician
Assistant students for their Surgery rotation. He enjoys
all aspects of general surgery, but his professional
interests include surgery of the esophagus and stomach,
laparoscopy, surgical oncology, breast, and colon surgery.
Dr. Markham resides locally and is married with two
children. His interests outside of medicine include
ice hockey, downhill skiing, kayaking, and boating.
